Alicia van Herwijnen started gymnastics at the age of 5 at EOC Oosterhout recreational & after a short period was asked to join the Young Talent Selectie by Gerrie Scharff who trained her until she reached Instap. Alicia then started competing at the highest level N(ational) 1. Alicia's first competition was Instap N1 2013 then in 2014 Pupil 1 N1.

In June 2013 Alicia was asked to join Elite Flik Flak Topsport Club but decided to wait as the first year competing was a little overwhelming. But in June 2014 Alicia made the move and joined Flik Flak in den Bosch and with hard work and determination Alicia was awarded at the National Dutch Championships 2015 the Bronze Medal and on Bars Alicia also received the Silver Medal. 

Alicia would not of got to this level without the outstanding training she received from her trainers and the mental coaching.  A good end to 2015 gymnastic season with promising prospects awaiting Alicia and her team mates for 2016!!
